Every week during the school year, Memphis Urban Ministry hosts our 1-UP Tutoring program.  1-UP provides one-on-one tutoring to elementary age students twice a week.  The goal of 1-UP is to focus attention on the one academic subject that each student is struggling in the most, and then spend time working to bring that grade up one level during each school term.

To host the 1-UP tutoring program, MUM needs volunteers to become tutors and join us one or two days each week at the Cornelia Crenshaw Library located at 531 Vance Avenue in downtown Memphis.

1-UP takes place every Tuesday and Thursday from 3:30-5:00 PM.

Tutors are required to attend 1 training session.  Our next sessions will be:

Tuesday, August 25: 4-5pm @ Cornelia Crenshaw Library (531 Vance Avenue)
Thursday, September 17: 4-5pm @ Downtown Church Building
