Iglesia de Cristo is an outreach to the rapidly growing
Hispanic population in the city of Memphis. The
current minister, Gonzalo Salinas, and his family arrived
from the country of Panama in July 2005 to continue the work
that had been started amongst Hispanics in Memphis.
Currently, Iglesia de Cristo meets in the building of the
Sycamore View church of Christ.

On the 30th of March, 15 youth and 7 adults
from Iglesia traveled to Huntsville, Alabama to participate
in a youth program. The Iglesia de Cristo rented a
fifteen-passenger van in order to transport the kids. At
the event, there were seven youth groups representing seven
Hispanic congregations of the Churches of Christ in Alabama
and neighboring states. Based upon the enthusiasm generated
by this activity, Iglesia is thinking about organizing a
similar event the first Saturday of August of this year.
