Recently, Memphis Urban Ministry established an official partnership with LaRose Elementary School. 

Currently, the Highland Church of Christ has jumped on board to support this partnership with countless resources, volunteers, and enthusiasm. 

When you walk through the doors of LaRose Elementary, you can just tell that something special is happening in this school.  Principal Tonya Cooper, the faculty and the staff at LaRose are incredibly dedicated to their work and to their students.  Memphis Urban Ministry considers it a great honor to work alongside LaRose Elementary School as we both seek the well-being of the children in our city.

Through our partnership, MUM helps coordinate efforts to assist LaRose with various needs.  Some of these include:

• Stocking the school clothing and supplies closet

• Organizing activities for kids and their families

• Assessing emergency needs of families

• Providing after-school tutors

• Connecting the school to other community resources

LaRose Elementary School is located in downtown Memphis at 864 Willoughby St.
