Before committing to join the mission of Memphis Urban Ministry, please be aware of the following guidelines:

For Groups

• You will need to provide your own housing (with the exception of Poverty Plunge)
• You are responsible for covering the cost of your meals.
• We require a ratio of 1 adult chaperone for every 6 individuals who are under the age of 18.
• You will need to have a form of transportation available for your group to use during your time in Memphis.
• We ask that you provide us with a firm count of participating individuals who will be participating at least 1 month prior to arrival.

Group Fees
Group fees are used to assist Memphis Urban Ministry in covering the cost of supplies and the additional staff hours that it requires to host a group event.

• $40 per person for a week-long mission experience (4 days or more)
• $20 per person for a weekend mission experience (3 days or less)
• $40 per person for all Poverty Plunge weekends

For Those Not in a Group:

• You must be willing to undergo a background check
• Some individual volunteer opportunities will require a short interview
